Practice Areas and Experience

Isabella Leavitt represents clients in all types of litigation. Isabella joined Kercsmar & Feltus in May 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Isabella worked as an associate in the litigation department of Polsinelli, P.C., one of the largest firms in the United States. Isabella has significant experience handling matters in the financial services industry, including loan enforcement. She represents companies of all sizes in the financial services, healthcare, technology, and manufacturing industries. Isabella has also handled toxic tort matters. Isabella assists clients with all stages litigation and developing litigation avoidance strategies.

Isabella earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a student-attorney in the Federal Legislative and Administrative Law Clinic, advocating for policy changes on behalf of a civil rights non-profit. While at Georgetown, Isabella’s article discussing the ethical issues of responding to prospective clients was selected to be published in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.

Representative Cases and Clients

  • Assisted in representing a partner of a construction manufacturing business in a dispute with his partner which resulted in a favorable settlement for the client.
  • Provided analysis of insurance policies including general liability, professional liability, directors & officers liability, and errors & omissions and analyzed coverage of claims.
  • Drafted a mediation statement in a breach of contract claim on behalf of a corporation, resulting in a favorable settlement for the client.
  • Assisted in representing financial institution in its defense against RESPA and FCRA claims.
