    In May 2017, Acquisition International Magazine selected Kercsmar & Feltus "IP Litigator of the Year - Southwest USA.” The 2017 IP Excellence Awards recognize the very best intellectual property professionals across the industry, which includes copyright, trademark and patent litigation practices.     On April 11, 2017, the preeminent lawyer ranking service, Super Lawyers, ranked three of the firm’s attorneys “Southwest Super Lawyers,” an honor bestowed on less than five percent of all attorneys. The firm’s founders Geoffrey Kercsmar and Todd Feltus were selected for their excellence in business litigation. Greg Collins, who heads the firm's intellectual property practice, was honored as a Super Lawyer in the category of intellectual property litigation.

    On April 11, 2017, the preeminent lawyer ranking service, Super Lawyers, ranked three of the firm’s attorneys “Southwest Rising Stars.” The award identifies up-and-coming attorneys in their practice areas. Attorneys Julia Guinane and Molly Eskay were selected in the category of business litigation. Sean O’Hara was honored for his work in intellectual property litigation.

    In April 2016, Geoffrey Kercsmar and Todd Feltus were inducted as Fellows into The Litigation Counsel of America. LCA is a peer-selected and aggressively diverse honorary society of 3,500 of the best trial lawyers in the world. The group includes less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, who are vigorously vetted for skills, expertise, and service. LCA is an invitation-only, collegial network of lawyers who effectively represent clients across North America and around the world. 

    The purpose of the LCA is to recognize deserving, experienced, and highly qualified lawyers, to provide an outlet for scholarly authorship of legal articles on trial and litigation practice, to provide additional sources for professional development, to promote superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law, to assist in community involvement by its membership, and to advance a superior judiciary, by taking relevant positions on issues or legislation affecting judicial compensation and benefits, as well as those affecting the American litigation processes.

    Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation. The number of full Fellowships has been kept at an exclusive limit by design, allowing qualifications, diversity and inclusion to align effectively. Fellows are generally at the partner or shareholder level or are independent practitioners with twelve or more years experience.

    On August 17, 2016, Geoffrey Kercsmar was selected for inclusion in the 23rd Edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Intellectual Property Litigation. Best Lawyers is the oldest and most highly-respected peer review guide to the legal profession worldwide. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Best Lawyers' methodology is based entirely on peer-review, and is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
